The Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad (ICE) appealed to the Aresep 10.1% increase in electricity rates approved by that body on 24 March.
The Institute sought an adjustment of 24.4%, on average, but the Regulating Authority of Public Services (Aresep) approved only half.
